Physecochemical Property
Silicone rubber is based on elements obtained from quartz, and is a saturated non-polar rubber formed by marking side chains such as potassium groups and vinyl groups formed by silicon atoms. Different side chains lead to different properties of silicone rubber. Methyl vinyl silicone rubber (VMQ) is one of the most widely used silicone rubber materials.
Silicone rubber has excellent heat resistance, low temperature elasticity and resistance to oxygen oxidation and ozone, and has high gas permeability and selectivity to gas transmission. Good electrical insulation properties(volume resistance greater than 10Ω.cm, breakdown voltage above 30kv/mm), corona and arc resistance. However, adding conductive carbon black, nickel powder, aluminum powder, and silver powder can obtain proper conductivity (volume resistance can reach 5-0.02Ω.cm). The surface energy of silicone rubber is reduced, and it is hygroscopic and can be used for isolation. Water resistance, but poor water vapor resistance, it is not recommended to use if the pressure exceeds 50psi. Compatible with most oils, chemicals and solvents. Generally, silicone rubber has good resistance to acid and alkali, but is not resistant to polar solvents, but is not resistant to alkanes and aromatic oils. It is not recommended to be used in most concentrated solvents, oils, concentrated acids and diluted caustic soda solutions.Special silicone rubber also has radiation resistance, flame resistance, oil resistance and other properties. It has low tensile strength and weak wear resistance, so it is generally not used for dynamic sealing.

Application
Heat-resistant products: sealing rings for electric irons and pressure cookers; sealing sheets for boilers; high-temperature wires and cables, etc.
Cold-resistant products: spacecraft seals, gaskets, switch covers, etc.
Agricultural products: artificial gills for water breathing, plastic wrap for agricultural and sideline products, etc.
Non-toxic products: infusion tubes, pacifiers, linings for rhinoplasty and breast augmentation, artificial organs, watch straps, swimming caps, foot pads, etc.
Conductive products: electrodes, electromagnetic luminous cover, conductive electrodes, etc.
Circulation products: heat sink, etc.
